ISTANBUL GRAND AIRPORT The project is the biggest ever undertaking airport and
infrastructure project which includes design, construction and
Istanbul, Turkey facility management in parallel with a strict deadline. To
increase passenger satisfaction and create a modern travel

transformation in constructing and running the airport.

Shanghai Urban Construction Design Institute (Group) Ltd.

This project is for the design of the tram line of the Huawei Terminal new headquarter in Dongguan, Guangdong
Province. This project involves coordination of floodway, reservoir, bridge and mountains, and Huawei requires very high
quality detail on bridge and landscape design.

NUEVO AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL
DE LA CIUDAD DE MEXICO

Foster + Partners - FREE

At 470,000 sqm, this will be one of the


worlds largest airports. The entire terminal
is enclosed within a lightweight gridshell,
embracing walls and roof in a single flowing
form, evocative of flight. The design ensures
short walking distances and few level
changes. Its unique prefabricated system
can be constructed without the need for

scaffolding.

EAST SIDE ACCESS
New York City, New York, USA

LiRo Group

East Side Access is a new train station


that will connect Long Island Railroad
to Grand Central Station, a New York
City mega-project commissioned by the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The project includes the construction of
multiple new tunnels under Manhattan;
an eight city block long concourse and
multiple train platforms 150 feet
beneath Grand Central Station as well
as major renovations of Harold
Interlocking, the largest in North
America.

DESIGN OF THE SECOND TUBE Karavanke tunnel is a 8.0 km long, single tube, bidirectional
motorway tunnel connecting Austria and Slovenia. It was

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is the


world's first cross-sea transportation
cluster project that combine artificial
islands, bridges and tunnels. It adopts a
bridges-tunnels combination scheme,
along with two artificial islands. The
transportation system is so enormous
and complex that consists of over ten
sub-systems.

facility.

OCEANWIDE CENTER
San Francisco, California, USA

Foster + Partners / Heller Manus Architects

Situated in the rapidly changing Transbay Area of San


Francisco, the Oceanwide Center development
comprises two mixed-use towers, along with impressive
new public spaces and important new pedestrian
connections. The design will also restore and revitalize
two historic buildings on site and together, the
development provides a significant amount of new hotel,
office and residential spaces in this downtown
neighborhood.

STANTEC TOWER
Alberta, Canada

Stantec

The tower going up in Edmonton's ICE District provides


1.3 million SF of new space, both high end residential as
well as for Stantec's new headquarters. The building is
targeting LEED Gold status and was delivered with
exceptional BIM across many Stantec offices working
seamlessly with Revit Server and then BIM 360 Team
with immersive visualization technology leveraged within
the production models.

NATIONAL FITNESS CENTER
China-Inner Mongolia

Tianjin Architecture Design Institute

This project is an integrated sports building, and a


government-invested public-benefit project to provide
citizens with sports, entertainment, performances and
more. It is the first demonstrated project Inner Mongolia,
China, responding to the calls of the nationwide fitness

Mission Bernal Campus Integrated Project Delivery

Mission Bernal Campus Hospital project is a new seven-


story hospital with approximately 234,000 gross square feet
of acute care, clinical and building infrastructure space. The
hospital will have a total of 120-beds, including 88
Medical/Surgical, 10 ICUs and 1622 Labor/Delivery and
Postpartum beds.

Expo 2020 will be a festival for


all, bringing together hundreds
of countries and millions of
people. The site will have the
capacity to welcome up to
270,000 visitors per day.

MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE

BuroHappold Engineering
& Killa Design

The 30,000 m2 iconic building will


have an instantly recognizable form
like no other, epitomized by its
futuristic stainless steel facade,
integrated with an illuminated glazed
Arabic calligraphy. Its prime location
adjacent to Emirates Towers will be
directly accessible from the Dubai
Metro.

During construction of this building,


serious energy efficiency issues
were identified, so radical changes to
the building are being made in order
to achieve LEED and EnerPHit
Passivhaus Standards.

CHANGSHA MEIXI LAKE INTERNATIONAL Changsha Meixi Lake International Culture and Art
Center is a large public theater which includes the 1800
CULTURE AND ART CENTER seat Grand Theater, 500 seat Small Theater and an
Hunan, China exhibition area of more than 10,000 of the
contemporary art museum. The framework is a shear
wall structure, surrounded by a curved steel structure.

Japan is surrounded by the sea, and


there are many living roads along the
beachfront. Therefore, if a tsunami
occurs, the only living road is cut off,
and there is a high risk of sudden
illness and areas being isolated at the
time of disaster occurrence, so a
highway can also serve as a backup
for living roads. The constructed tunnel
is the fourth longest long tunnel in the
tunnel construction between Kiitanabe

and Susami.

China Zun building is 528

core structure. China Zun will be
the world first skyscraper that
stands on an area of 8 degree
seismic fortification intensity
(China standard).

KRAUSE GATEWAY CENTER Krause Gateway Center is the new corporate headquarters of Kum
& Go, an Iowa-based convenience store chain. Sited on two blocks
Des Moines, Iowa in downtown Des Moines, the 6-story, 163,000 SF building provides
a modern and highly collaborative work environment. The building
Ryan Companies US, Inc. design is centered on lightness, simplicity and openness. The space
features abundant natural light and numerous amenities.

Tianjin Chow Tai Fook Tower is


a super skyscraper designed by
SOM. It combines a commerce,

Tianjin and even North China.

121 SEAPORT BOULEVARD

Skanska USA

121 Seaport Boulevard is a new 17-story, 450,000-SF tower


located in the heart of Bostons Seaport District. 121 Seaport
is targeting LEED Platinum efficiency certification; the
buildings elliptical design will result in 15 percent energy
savings by reducing direct solar27 exposure.

Charoen Pokphand HQ Towers are twin high-rise


towers, located in the northeast corner of the core area
of CBD in Beijing. Each tower is 238 meters tall with 6
floors underground and 45 floors above ground. The
south and north tower will be mainly served as
headquarter offices for Charoen Pokphand Group and
Chinese entrepreneurs.

San Marcos, California, USA

BNIM Architects
The Palomar College Operations
and Maintenance Complex will
serve buildings and grounds at
Palomar College and other
satellite campuses. It will house
the districts facilities personnel for
buildings, grounds, and
maintenance as well as providing
conference space, staff offices,
and shop spaces. The project
consists of a large shop building
and small office building that are
linked through a series of outdoor
paths and spaces on an irregularly
shaped site.

THE PORTER SCHOOL OF
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

The Porter School in the Tel Aviv University is the first


LEED Platinum certified project in Israel and amongst
the greenest projects in the world that achieved 92
points and above in the LEED certification. It was built to
reflect the broad environmental vision of its founders,
Dame Shirley Porter and implements a range of green
principles and ideas. Energy simulation tools were used
on the project to improve the design.

MASSACHUSETTS DIVISON OF The first Zero Net public office building in MA supports the agencys
environmental, regulation, conservation and educational programs. At
FISHERIES & WIDELIFE FIELD 45,000 SF, this LEED Platinum high performance sustainable building
HEADQUARTERS is a showcase for the agencys conservation mission. The
headquarters houses flexible offices, classrooms, library, meeting
Westborough, Massachusetts, USA rooms, laboratories, and a live trout pond. The site overlooks 1000-
acres of conservation land, acting as an outdoor classroom with a
Columbia Construction Company large rainwater garden.

Canway Building B (also known as


Canway B) located in Fuxingmen
Beijing, is a modernized office building
originally built in 1996. In 2014,
Canway B started the overall
renovation for providing increased
comfort under energy-saving and
environmental protection
requirements. The Renovation of
Canway B was granted LEED platinum
certification and the building was back
up and running by July 2015.

Perkins Eastman

A high-performance school where every design


decision improves learning while reducing energy use.
For the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. School in
Cambridge, Perkins Eastman led an extensive process
to support Cambridge Public Schools goals to promote
academic excellence while targeting Net Zero Energy
at the site.

R.W. KERN CENTER The 17,000 SF R.W. Kern Center is a new low-impact campus facility designed
to meet the requirements of the Living Building Challenge, including net zero
Amherst, Massachusetts, USA energy, water, and waste. The building, which includes classrooms, offices,
and a caf, engages prospective students, provides community space, and
Bruner/Cott & Associates, Inc. shows commitment to sustainability. Built of glulam timber, local stone, and
polished concrete, the building is a reflection of its environment and of
sustainable material principles.
