SCENARIO 1. DASHBOARDS
1. From a supported browser (Firefox recommended), use a secure session (https://) to
login to Prime Infrastructure with the credentials from the Session Details tab of your Active
session as shown in Table 2. Device Credentials.

2. Click on the blue Homepage icon in the upper left corner.
STEPS
3. In the Network Summary Dashboard (New) pane, click Save and Launch Homepage. If
you want to set another Homepage, you can set that by clicking the settings wheel
located on the upper right.
4. From the Dashboard/Network Summary page, you will see an ICMP Reachability Status
indicator. If any devices are listed as Unreachable, click the link to synchronize those
devices.
5. From the filtered All Devices page, click the checkbox at the top to select all devices.
Then click the Sync button. It may take a few minutes for all devices to synchronize. If you
have devices that show as unreachable, use this opportunity to explain to the audience
how this feature of Prime Infrastructure gives you immediate feedback about the state of
devices in your network.
6. Go to Dashboard > Overview > General to view a high-level
network device summary, Top CPU and Memory utilization.
7. You can also hover the mouse over the pie charts to see additional details then click on the
chart to go directly to the inventory listing of those Network devices.
8. You also can change the view from Chart view to Table View.
9. Click the Home icon to return to the main screen. 10. General network infrastructure
performance is available on several of the Network Summary dashboards by selecting the Home
key. These Dashboards present summary and aggregate data on aspects of the overall network.
11. Click on the Incidents tab to get a Summary overview of Incidents.
12. Mouse over the Alarms to get more details Click to go directly to the alarms.
Choose one of the dashboards under Dashboard > Performance to view a summary of
performance metrics. Viewing the performance dashboards can show you the health of
the networks, servers, and applications.
You can use performance graphs to compare the performance of different devices or
interfaces. 1. From Cisco Prime Infrastructure, go to Dashboard > Performance > Site. From
the Site tab, you will see an overview of the site. In the Top N Applications, you will see
details of the traffic generated by simulated devices and PC1. Note the applications
identified by AVC.
