PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Central Compression Platform (CCP) was built by Samsung Heavy Industry (SHI) and put into operation
since 1996. The CCP is located at White Tiger Oil Field at the Block 09-1, approximately 145 km Southeast of
Vung Tau City, offshore of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

CCP consist of six compression trains to send about 10Mnm3 of gas at 125bar ashore; other facilities included in
the six-leg platform include Gas Dehydration, LP Gas Compression, Power Generation, Fuel Gas Compression,
Utilities, Safety, and Control Systems.

The primary function of the Central Compression Platform is to receive associated gas from the adjacent bridge
connected Riser platform, to compress and dehydrate it, and to deliver compressed gas for pipeline transmission
and/or gas lift to the Riser platform and from the Riser platform to the further distribution in the oil field.

The Solar Turbine located in the CCP platform are- five (5) Mars units are two body tandem compressor sets,
compressing associated natural gas for sales and gas lift in two stages from a pressure of 10 barg to
approximately 108 barg. The design discharge pressure is 125 barg. They run at full load and T5 topping, with
three out of five trains operational at any one time.
The three (3) Centaur 40 Ideal gensets are located inside the TG hall near the Cellar Deck. They operate
in two out three at any one time. Units are run in part load condition in load control mode.
The typical ambient temperature range during this time of year is 25-45 C. During the inter-monsoon
periods, as the wind shifts and the weather becomes more settled, the ambient temperature is slightly
higher. Temperatures are always moderated in offshore conditions.
The solar Turbotronic currently installed controls at CCP is the :
- Turbotronic 2 , PLC5 control processor and 1771/2201 I/O on the main chassis.
- Vibartion system : Bently 1701 Vibration module hardware
- The Communication network is through a DH+ gateway.
- Fire & Gas system : NOVA 5000 System.
- Fuel system : Electro-hydraulic system with a PCD loader valve.
- The HMI TT2000 for 5 Solar Turbine Mars-100 installed in 1997 version TT2000, were upgraded in 2014 to TT4000 version.
- The Electro-hydraulic of Start system were were upgraded in 2014 to new VFD driven Direct AC start system.
