Subject Intransitive verb
IV Intransitive verb
- these verbs do not need noun or
adjectives to complete their meanings.

Linking verbs connect the
subject and the complement.
Verb be (is, are, was, were,
has, been, am) and verbs like
smell, taste, look, sound, feel,
become, appear, seem are linking
verbs.

nouns that tells something about
the subject of the sentence.
Example:
