Statement of the Study

This study aims to know the effects


of bullying to the student victim in
AdZU.
1. What is the most common form of
bullying in AdZU?
2. What are the main reasons why students
bully and why
Students are being bullied?

3. What are the effects of bullying to the


victim?

Significance of the Study


The results of this study may benefit
the students and school administration for it
will bring awareness to the Ateneo community.
Scope and Limitation

This study will focus on the


population of college students being
bullied or have experienced bullying in
Ateneo.
BULLYING

Is a form of aggressive behavior in which


someone intentionally and repeatedly
causes another person injury or discomfort.
It can be in a form of
physical, verbal or covert bullying.
School Bullying
School is the most common place where
bullying occurs (APA, 2014).
- Students have strong social skills yet
are emotionally quite immature.
- School is composed of different
students.
Bully
The one performing the act of bullying.
Have average or high self-esteem
Family background
Cycle of abuse
Desire for control and power
Victim/bullied

Primarily, the victims tends to be younger


And smaller physically.

Bullying may bring serious psychological
effects to the victim.

Republic Act No. 10627 known as the
Anti-Bullying Act of 2013

against bullying.
Methodology

Participants
Male and Female college students of
Ateneo de Zamboanga University who have
experienced bullying during the time they
are in college.
For the Key Informant Interview, the
participant will be a guidance counselor
who is a graduate of Bachelor of
Science in Psychology and a psychology
teacher.
Sampling

This study will utilize the combination


of stratified and simple random sampling
Procedure

This study will utilize survey questions,


focus group discussion and key informant
interview. Using Slovins formula, get the
10 percent of the population of AdZU
college.
