Definition of Terms
Medical Consultation examination conducted by the licensed professional medical personnel making reviews
of patients medical history, conduct physical and mental assessment of the patient, and makes recommendation
as to the care and treatment of the consulting individual.
Consulting Client - any individual seeking medical attention, consultation and care, or treatment.
Medicine any chemical substance that alleviates predominantly medical condition temporarily or permanently;
it is a drug or other preparation used in the treatment of a disease.
Medicine Dispensing sound provision of medicine appropriate to the patients condition.
Occupational Health Physician (OHP) responsible in promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of
the workers, outsourced personnel and contractors.
Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) - is a registered professional nurse with Basic Occupational Safety & Health
(BOSH) certification from the Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines (OHNAP) employed
either as the only nurse or one of the several nurses working with a part-time or full-time physician and other
members of an occupational health team.
