Evidence: Environmental issues

DIEGO CAMILO VALENCIA HERNNDEZ

What do you think about the
problem?

I think we must take care of water, this is our most valuable resource, water
is very important since we use it every day and for almost everything, it is
vital because without it we can not live, we need to take care of it and for
this we need to contaminate it Less possible and save.
What would be a possible solution for
it?

WHAT CAN BE DONE FROM HOME? HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIROMENT?

More than 7 billion people inhabit this beautiful Planet Earth, which

still need to be aware of the importance of caring for the environment.

Take good advantage of each washing of clothes, of course it is not
convenient to overload the washing machine but it is not advisable to
do a wash for three clothes to not waste water.
3. Do you see this problem in your
community? What do people do
about it?
Caring for and planting more trees. One of the great problems in the earth of the trees in the world and these beloved
ones the inhabitants of sidewalks, parks, squares and other multiple spaces are indispensable to the life by an oxygen and
absorb the carbon dioxide.
Plantar plants at home. It is ideal to plant native species because they will be better adapted to the place. In the National
Institute of Agricultural Development (INTA) can guide on the issue.
Create an organic garden at home. At Alun-Co we give workshops to trainers such as teachers, neighborhood and
private groups.
Recycling and cleaning. Do not throw papers or waste in public spaces. Throw the garbage in the containers and follow
the rules of recycling and separation of waste. Where possible, use environmentally friendly products.
Ecosystem. Collaborate with fire prevention, use grill places and never throw flammable products, papers or cigarette
butts along the route because these actions caused fires in rural areas with unfortunate losses.
Take care of the animals. At the Fundacin Vida Silvestre you can find out which animals are in danger of extinction in
Argentina.
Energy. Encourage the use of the bicycle as a means of transport when possible. Use school transportation at the private
vehicle location to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Turn off light when not in use, unplug microwave, TV, and other
appliances that consume power without being turned off.
4. What will you do in the future to
help solve this problem?

Taking care of water is taking care of our future

Due to human population growth and other factors, the availability of drinking water per
person is declining. This problem could be solved by changing our habits to save this
natural resource.

Therefore, our company implemented a novel water treatment system at the Ilo plant, and
then at Tambo de Mora, with positive results.

This treatment has the advantage of reusing wastewater for the irrigation of green areas,
so we make the most of this natural resource and contribute to the care of our gardens.

Currently, our company has decided to extend the implementation of this new water
treatment technology to the Vgueta, Malabrigo and Coishco plants.
