Junaid Qurashi is a Founder and the Chief


Executive Officer of SSJD Fund, an impact
investment firm, investing in renewable energy
projects in Pakistan. Mr. Qurashi is a seasoned
entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in
founding and managing sustainable development
and high-tech firms in Pakistan and Silicon Valley,
California. He is also a founder and the Chairman
of the Pakistan Green Building Council. Mr.
Qurashi also serves on the Boards of the
Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North
America (OPEN), Karachi and Distinguished
Innovations, Collaborations & Entrepreneurship
(DICE).
Engr. Inam Ahmed Osmani

Inam Ahmed Osmani is a Pakistani engineer who


founded Osmani & Company (Pvt.) Ltd. in 1960.
He graduated with a gold medal from NED
Engineering College in 1956. In 2010, he was
elected President of the Association of Consulting
Engineers Pakistan (ACEP). He has previously
been president of the Institution of Engineers
Pakistan (IEP), Secretary General of the
Federation of Engineering Institutions of South &
Central Asia (FEISCA), Executive Committee
member of the PEC and a member of the Karachi
Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Mr. Mohsin Sheikhani

Engr. Asif Siddiqui graduated in Electrical


Engineering in 1969 from Aligarh Muslim University,
Aligarh, migrated to Pakistan in 1970 and started his
career with Karachi Electric Supply Corporation as
Asstt. Executive Engineer by October of the same year.
Obtained Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma
in 1977, came back to Pakistan, resigned from KESC
and started his own Electrical Engineering business
by 1978.
Presently he is owns and runs 3 Engineering
companies namely General Electro-mecanique (Pvt)
Ltd., Sigma Ventures and Rental Mall (Pvt) Ltd.
He is presently an active Rotarian besides being
Chairman of IEEEP Karachi Centre.
Mr. Mubasher Ahmed

Mr. Mubesher Ahmed is CEO of Wular


Engineering. He is President of Pakistan
HVACR Society. Pakistan HVACR is a sole
representative body on HVACR and was
established some 21 years ago to promote the
cause of HVACR profession and industry in
Pakistan. It is an affiliate Society to ASHRAE,
USA. He has travelled extensively around the
world to attend numerous conferences and
expos relating HVACR to bring in the most
advanced knowledge of the trade to Pakistan.
He has completed a large number of HVACR
projects of National & International
reputation.
Mr. Qasim Khokhar

With 15 years of experience in driving management ,


public policy and electrical engineering divisions at mid
level and senior level in public sector organizations, I
have developed an expert ability in maintaining
consistent company-wide effective growth. My extensive
background in energy sector has seen me professionally
manage large-scale departmental clearances, budgets,
and supply chain whilst also steering on business
planning and expansion strategies for large
organizations. I intend to use every bit of my knowledge
and expertise to fulfill my passion of conservation and
make Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency
a guardian of sound sustainable economic development
of Punjab by nurturing it into a prime vehicle for
conserving energy and making the mother earth better
than we inherited.

Shaaf A.A.Mehboob is a graduate from Imperial


College, London and his final thesis revolved around
Quantum Photovoltaics. After returing from UK he
started his own solar energy business and his
company Adaptive Technologies is a pioneer in the
field. Adaptive started with solar thermal and after
completing several hundred installations they
branched into Photovoltaics in 2009. Today Adaptive
has offices in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and is
the major importer of Trina Solar (tier 1 solar PV
manufacturer) and SMA Inverters (Germany) in
Pakistan. Adaptive does EPC contracts across
Pakistan in a wide array of sectors and also supplies
goods to its downstream
distributors.

Ar. Shahid Abdulla is the principal and founding partner of Arshad Shahid Abdulla (Pvt.) Ltd. He oversees the
Interior Design and Residence Departments at the firm.
Shahid Abdulla received his Bachelors in Architecture degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. After
completing his studies he worked for Richmond Manhoff & Marsh and Miller & Associates for a year. He returned to
Pakistan in 1975 where he joined Pyarali A. Merali Associates.
In 1979, together with Arshad Abdulla, he formed Arshad Shahid Abdulla (Pvt.) Ltd. He is a member of Pakistan
Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) as well as Institute of Architects Pakistan (IAP). He was also the
founding chairman of Pakistan Institute of Interior Designers, established in 2001 for the development of the
profession.
In 1990, along with a group of concerned individuals, he founded the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. It
was his initiative to relocate the 100 year old Nusserwanjee building from its premises in Kharadar to the new
school in Clifton thereby saving it from demolition and preserving it as part of our cultural heritage. He was part of
the initial teaching faculty of the school and taught here for several years. Here he also served as a member of the
Board of Governors and the Executive Committee.
In 2008, he helped found The Hunar Foundation (THF), a non-profit organization with the objective of finding a
solution to the problems of livelihood for the youth, by provision of quality vocational training which is in demand
both locally and abroad.
To date, Shahid Abdulla is actively involved with the design processes at ASA, giving his valued guidance not only to
vast ranging projects of all typology but also nurturing the new and fresh inductees into the profession with his
experience, wit and wisdom.

Atif has over 25 years extensive experience of
working in Pakistan and in the Middle East, with
demonstrated success in managing large &
complex projects. Atif studied at Iowa State
University where he received his Bachelor of Arts
in Architecture and later gained his Masters in
Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology,
Chicago. He joined M/s Osmani& Co.(Pvt.) Ltd.
after graduation and has since successfully
delivered a variety of projects.

Brig Shahid Hassan Ali is a dynamic engineer officer

management matters. He is well known in the Army
for his professionalism, dynamism and ability to

S. M. Jahangir Khan Sherpao is an Architect/City & Regional Planner by profession. He did his FSc from Cadet College
Hasanabdal. He then proceeded to METU Ankara on an RCD Scholarship but after a year he joined Illinois Institute of
Technology (IIT) Chicago, USA. His professors at METU were instrumental in his transfer of studies to IIT Chicago, USA.
Jahangir Khan studied in the Tradition of Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, The Modern Master of Architecture. He received
his Professional Bachelors in Architecture and a Masters in City & Regional Planning. Jahangir Khan set up 'Architecture
Planning & Design Group' in 1989 as a Professional Architectural, City & Regional Planning and Interior Design
Consultancy located in Islamabad. Jahangir has been involved with the revival of the Board of Architectural Education
in Pakistan alongside Akeel Bilgrami, furthering the cause of Architectural Education in Pakistan as the accredited
schools grew from 7 to 15 in the past 7 years. He showed Institutional buildings like Beconhouse Informatics in
Islamabad, extension of the World bank in Islamabad, Pakistan Post, Union Bank building and projects they are
currently working on with Emmar Pakistan. His added degree in urban planning gives him an edge and command on
understanding large spaces. All his work is primarily a group effort and he praised his team for the hard work they put
in. He has in his practice tried to create consistency through transformation, technology and keeping pace with today's
rate of change. His work showed that they are trying day and night to compete with the global market that is fast
evolving through information technology. Jahangir Khan Sherpao is also an educationist and very closely involved with
the Higher education commission and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP). He is currently the
Member Architecture of PCATP, member of many juries and part of the accreditation committee for architecture
Universities in Pakistan. Mr. Sherpao presented his works amongst a large audience of architects under the banner of
CITE. He showed a number of interior design projects for various multinationals, residential and buildings projects.
Jahangir Khan has been elected unanimously to the prestigious office of President of Institute of Architects Pakistan
(IAP) for a period of three years. His recognition by his peers and fellow professionals as the President of the Institute
is an honor well deserved and an opportunity to further serve and advance the profession both within Pakistan and
represent Pakistan on the four International Architectural forums of ARCASIA, SAARCH, UIA (Union of International
Architects), and the CAA Commonwealth Architects Association.
