All safety rules described in the 9500 MPR manuals are identified with a
warning sign:
Electrical voltages involved with the equipment may cause personal injury,
hence, the following label must be affixed next to power supply:
The risk of explosion exists when batteries are used and is indicated by this
label:
The openings made in the unit containing the battery (IDU) must not be
covered up to let dangerous gases flow out in case of heating or burning.
Check for this label:
DANGER: Focal length is between 8 and 80 feet in front of the dish, depending
upon the frequency, dish construction, and feed horn length.
CAUTION: Voltmeter leads run from the AGC or RSL test point on the radio out to
gang on the tower. This can, and likely will, have stray voltages induced which
can give false RSL readings and SGC alarms if left connected.
Caution
Every person on site must respect the safety requirements
mentioned below.
Every technician must regularly check his safety equipment
and the deadline of use.

2 operators at least for any work:
at height.
on electrical equipment.
Mark the perimeter of danger area (lifting area) with road stripes.
Caution
Never stay or circulate under the load.
Do not stay below people working at height
(risk of fall of objects).

Keep the installation site clean and
tidy for the duration of the work.

Use of shielded cables
Proper ground connections
Screw-fastening of units on subrack
Maintenance
Clean contact points before replacing modules
Screw-fasten new unit after replacement
Check all units for all labels, specifically the ones bearing warning signs.
