Sherlock Holmes begins with the story in 1891, in which Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.)
and his partner, Dr. John Watson (Jude law) completed the murder of a woman by Blackwood (Mark
Strong), who had killed five women by the same one. They settle the case before the inspector Lestrade
(Eddie Marsan) and the police come to capture Blackwood. Three months later, Holmes's strange habit
and his addiction to cocaine bothered Watson. Watson wants to marry Mary Morstan (Kelly Relly) and
leave 221B Baker Street. While Blackwood requested a meeting with Holmes, which he threatened three
murders that would change the world. Three days later, Holmes visited Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams),
a professional thief and his first enemy, who asked Holmes to find a man named Luke Reordan. He told
Holmes that Reordan was the key to Blackwood's plan. Blackwood's tomb was destroyed from the
outside, and the corpse of Reordan was found inside Blackwood's coffin. Investigating Reordan, Holmes
and Watson finds that Reordan's home was a site of magical experiments. After several fights with
Blackwood's men, Holmes was taken to a shrine from the Four Orders, a secret wizarding organization
with little political influence. They asked Holmes to stop Blackwood, one of their predecessors. Sir
Thomas (James Fox) was later killed by Blackwood with his supernatural powers.
The pursuit of Holmes, Watson, and Adler against Blackwood made them wounded and faced many
dangers. Holmes then went into hiding and studied the Blackwood ritual, and realized that the next target
was parliament. Later, Adler and Watson discovered a machine beneath the parliament building, as had
been observed in the Reordan experiment. Designed to release cyanide gas that could kill everyone in
parliament, except for Blackwood and his supporters. While Blackwood and Holmes fought, Adler
replaced cyanide from the machine and fled. Blackwood who felt his plan failed, also blurred, but
pursued by Holmes. The argument then continues. Holmes traps Blackwood until he is trapped, and
hangs on a chain, while Holmes unravels all the evil tricks of Blackwood. Blackwood later died of a
chain that hung his neck.
