SATISFACTION AMONG THE
EMPLOYEES OF SOCIAL ISLAMI BANK
LIMITED
INTRODUCTION
In todays existing competitive business setting,
service-oriented enterprises are playing a
significant role to reform the economic structure of
the home and the world. And banking is one of the
most competitive service-oriented industries to fuel
the economy and run the reformation program.
Banking sector in Bangladesh also has displayed a
rapid growth during the last one-and-half decade
when along with the publicly owned commercial
banks a large number of private banks have
entered in this competitive industry and making
more profit by serving at a peak level on a
consistent basis.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:
Broad Objective:
To exhibit the level of job satisfaction among
the employees of Social Islami Bank Limited,
Bangladesh.

Specific Objective:
To determine the level of satisfaction & absenteeism
of the employees of Social Islami Bank Ltd;
To identify personal and organizational factors
influencing job satisfaction & absenteeism of the
employees;
To study the relationship between the personal
factors of the employee and level of job satisfaction
in the context of Social Islami Bank Ltd;

HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION

Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) is a banking company


registered under the companies Act 1994 with its heads
office 15 Dilkusha C/A, Dhaka-1000. The bank operates as
a scheduled bank under a banking license issued by the
Bangladesh Bank. The Bank started its operation from 22;
November 1995 based on Shariah Principles, and has now
108 branches all over the country with two subsidiary
companies - SIBL Securities Ltd. & SIBL Investment Ltd.
The bank by concentrating on the activities in its area of
specialization has achieved good market reputation with
efficient customer service.

FUNCTIONS OF SOCIAL ISLAMI BANK
FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
Major findings, considering the large number of
questions across various categories included in
the survey of the study, are shown below:
100% employees are agree that company provides better
salary regarding their job so they are happy with their
job;
In terms of management and supervision most of the
employees remain satisfied.
Most of employees of SIBL are strongly satisfied with
their working hour;
90% employees are neutral that they are satisfy with
the welfare facilities provided by the company;
63.33% agrees that they have good career prospect in
this company;
Organizations leadership is positive and supportive;
RECOMMENDATIONS

From the study, the researcher has come to know that most of the
respondents are agreed with the salary, relationship with
coworkers and management.

Job rotation method should be widely used as a training method


which can work to assuage dissatisfaction about type of job.
There should be job description for every employee so that
employees can know what is expected from him.
All the superiors at each level should be cordial and friendly to
their subordinates.
There should be provision for different kind of rewards for
better performance. It will encourage them to take responsibility
and also will improve their willingness to perform better.
CONCLUSION

At the end of this report it can be conclude that Social


Islami Bank Ltd. efficiently performing their banking
activities. They are offering a wide variety of products and
services to their customers and they believe that
customers are their first priority. They have built a
disciplined banking culture in the banking sector of
Bangladesh.
