COMAPRISON OF GDP SPENDINGS ON
EDUCATION OF MAJOR NATIONS
2010
COMAPRISON BETWEEN POPULATION
OF MAJOR NATIONS
2010
Also, education systems of
these developed countries
produce very skilled
professionals which developing
nations like, India lack. Even if
we are creating millions of
such professionals each year.
This is mainly due to lack of
resources available in the
nation.

The problem was immediately

realized in the field of Science
and Technology where lack of
qualified teachers and
equipments is witnessed.
METAL FORMING PROCESS
The term Metal Forming refers
to a group of manufacturing by
which the given material,
usually shapeless or of a simple
geometry is transformed into a
useful part without change in
the mass or composition of the
material with well defined
geometry and properties.
METAL FORMING PROCESS

Extremely tedious to
explain this process
using Chalk- board
method.

Complex multi
parameter driven
processes.
METAL FORMING PROCESS

Two approaches for improving

understanding:

1. Resource Intensive
Processes(cost of dies, presses
etc.), if we go for Real Time
Experimentation.

2. Virtual Experimentation .

Resource Development (MHRD)

Developed and hosted at

Dayalbagh Educational Institute
It is a technology enabled approach in
teaching Metal Flowing.

It consists of more than 800 videos

generated by FEM simulations over FORGE
2009 software.
The Website includes:

1. Basics about presses and processes

2. Process simulation videos

3. Applications of Processes

4. Simulation Bench and Self Check Quiz

UPSETTING PROCESS
HYDRAULIC PRESS
MULTI STEP FORGING
HAMMER FORGING
EXTRUSION PROCESS
CIRCULAR BAR ROLLING
RING ROLLING PROCESS
CRANK SHAFT FORMING
Including this kind of study in
the metal forming course.

Starting of similar work in

other courses too.

Making the subject easy to

teach and learn by using new
technologies.
