Brief Self introduction
Born in New Delhi, India. Studied at PFU, Moscow, Russia
(Erstwhile USSR)
Diagnosed & treated for Breast Cancer in 2006. Lived a cancer
free life (supposedly) for 7 long years
Got a relapse in 2013
Got Reconstruction Surgery after two years of mastectomy
Never covered my bald head during chemo. Travelled and
attended weddings just the way I was
An urge to work for cancer awareness came from within
Wrote articles and book on breast cancer awareness during chemo
days. Also started speaking in seminars, attending support group
meetings etc
Self Diagnosis

In 2006 I felt a hard lump in my left breast and

went for a checkup, biopsy report was positive

In 2013 again I had pain in the chest mostly at

night, while during the day I felt fine. Few
symptoms indicated to bone cancer. I had to
literally push my doctor for petscan and was
diagnosed of cancer in sternum bone
Greatest shock My Twin Sister was diagnosed of a
breast cancer at the SAME TIME in 2013

Cancer strengthened the

bond between us
Cancer could not take
away our smiles
It was more difficult for me
to accept her diagnosis
than my own relapse
Denial Shock - Acceptance

Shattered !
Worries
Frustration
Sleeplessness
