 INTRODUCTION

Section-10 of ICA came into force on the first

day of september 1872 is what agreements
are contracts which says that- All agreements
are contracts if they are made by the free
consent of the parties competent to contract
for a lawful consideration of and with a lawful
object and not hereby expressely declared to
be void.

 Agreement

According to section 2(e) of ICA the term

agreement is defined as every promise and
every set of promises forming the
consideration for each other is an agreement.
Types of agreement

From the point of view of legality there are

different types of agreement

Contracts
Void agreements
Illegal agreements
 Void Agreements

If consideration and object are unlawful.

Is agreement is without consideration.
Agreement in restrain of marriage
Agreement in restrain of trade
Agreement in restrain of legal proceeding
Agreement for uncertainity
Agreement by way of wager.

According to section 13-Two person are said

to consent whey they agree upon the same
thing in the same sense.
FREE CONSENT
It is one of the essentials of a valid contract.
