ABSTRACT
Recently piezoelectric fiber composites has been given more attentions in a
variety of aerospace researches because of its good application value, such as the active
deformation control of structure and aircraft, noise reduction and structural health
monitoring because it has several advantages such as larger piezoelectric coefficient, plane
driver response, different anisotropy performances on-demand, strong anti-destruction
capability and its easy application to curved surface.
This paper will design a new kind of honeycomb sandwich actuators for active deformation
control of structure, which is using a novel macro-fiber composites as the driver materials
based on piezoelectric fiber and inter digitated electrodes, and the honeycomb material as
core.

DESCRIPTION
The specific method will be demonstrated as following:
firstly getting MFC materials adhere to panel of plane is used as an actuator, to control the
deformation of structure.
And then, parameters of honeycomb structure should be optimized based on the
theory analysis of sandwich structure, to meet the demand that the honeycomb structure is
not only light, but also has larger actuating function and good bearing capability.
The results show that the proposed method for designation and optimization of actuator
using MFC is feasible, which can be applied in the rudder of small and micro aircraft as
well as medium-sized aircraft active control of the flow field

COMPUTER AIDED SYSTEM FOR DEFECT
INSPECTION IN THE PCB MANUFACTURING SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
This .paper presents a visual inspection system aimed at the automatic detection
and classification of bare-PCB manufacturing errors.
The interest of this CAE system lies in a twofold approach. On the one hand, we
propose a modification of the subtraction method based on reference images that
allows higher performance in the process of defect detection.
On the other hand, this method is combined with a particle classification algorithm
based on two measures of light intensity.
As a result of this strategy, a machine vision application has been implemented to
assist people in etching, inspection and verification tasks of PCBs

DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTERNAL LIQUID COOLING
SYSTEM FOR CPU USINGABSTRACT
CAE

Liquid cooling is currently one of the best and most immediate options for non uniform
heat sources, high performance CPU/GPU
This project intends to develop a new generation liquid cooling system that is leakage-
free
This paper presents the development process of an internal liquid cooling system for
Center Process Unit (CPU) or Graphics Process Unit (GPU), which can be installed
inside the computer case.
Commercial available computer aided design (CAD) software; Computational Fluid
Dynamics (CFD), rapid prototyping (RP) technology, Computer Aided
Manufacturing (CAM) and computer aided engineering (CAE) were used in this
forward engineering process for the design and fabrication of the critical parts].

The heat exchange process presents different scenarios; such as outlet fluid

temperature, uniformity of temperature distribution, hot spots, pressure drop, etc.

The criteria used for determining the optimum design will be discussed using CFD

data, mathematical models and experimental results.

Finally the results obtained with adequate working conditions as well as the system

performance trends are shown graphically.

There is an everlasting demand for efficient gears to meet the requirements of present

day sophisticated technology. Considering the seriousness of the problem, the work is

mainly aimed at increasing the tooth strength of spur gear. The credential part of this

project is mainly emphasized on finding the optimum material with optimum gear ratio.

A spur gear is modeled, gear ratio is varied and analysis is done on four different gear

materials and its performance is analyzed for the given load.

The parametric model of a spur gear is drawn in the 3D modeling software

Pro/Engineer. Structural and Modal analysis is done on the spur gear for four materials,

i.e., Aluminium A360 Alloy, NiCr Alloy, Alloy steel 440C and steel 4140 for different

gear ratios 3:1,5:1,6:1 and the existing gear ratio 4:1 of the spur gear used in 2 wheeler

motor bike. The best material is selected based on the Analysis results.
