Engineering
Aerospace engineering is the primary field of engineering
concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft.
It is divided into two major and overlapping branches:
aeronautical engineering and astronautical engineering
Aeronautical engineering focuses on applying physics,
mathematics, and other disciplines in order to construct
aircraft
Astronautical engineering focuses on the application of
science and engineering to aerospace operations
What do They Do
The duties of an Aerospace engineer is to direct and coordinate the
design, manufacture, and test the aircrafts and aerospace products. They
also have to determine if the proposed project will result in safe aircraft
and parts, and evaluate designs to see that the products meets engineering
principles, customer requirements, and environmental challenges. Not
only do they do all this, they also develop acceptance criteria for design
methods, quality standards, sustainment after delivery, completion dates,
and inspect malfunctioning or damaged products to find the sources of
problems and most importantly solutions.
What you need to become

The normal entry level for an Aerospace
engineer is a bachelor's degree and also if
you are a high school student who wants to
become an aerospace engineer then you
need to take courses in chemistry, physics,
and math, including algebra, trigonometry, and
calculus.

Most people are likely to get scholarships if they excel in class and out
of class.

a week. Most of the Engineers who direct projects often have to work extra hours to
monitor progress, to ensure that the design meets requirements, to determine how to
measure aircraft performance, to see that production meets design standards, and to ensure
that deadlines are met. Most of the engineers work indoors, in an office. Depending on the
exact nature of the product or project, some work outdoors may be required.
