What exactly Spider Tronix does?

We, at Spider, have four profiles of which

TRONIX is one of the pivotal part.
We concentrate on doing projects that would
solve some of the real-life problems using the
concepts in Electronics.
We are a bunch of Electronics Enthusiasts who
are willing to work on inter-disciplinary
projects by collaboration with several profiles.
 A tour down the Memory Lane
2016-2017

The year, 2016-2017 would surely be etched as one of

the Golden years in the REM-BOOK of Spider.
Spider dominated various competitions conducted in
various parts of the country (to name a few)such as:
1. IITMs Shaastra, where we bagged the top 3 places,
2. E-Yantra (The Robotics Fest of IIT-B),
3. Sangam, the intra-collegial exhibition of NIT-Trichy,
where the collaborative efforts of Spider Tronix, Appdev
and Webdev bore the fruit of the 1st and the 3rd place.
PROJECTS OF THE YEAR 2016-17
1. E VOTING SYSTEM

This project aims at providing a highly secured voting

system , which reduces the cumbersome process of voting
in booths and is simple.

This project was basically done having the urban citizens

in mind, who would hesitate to vote by traveling a long,
hectic path to the booths.

A Personalized Monitoring
System
3. J.A.R.V.I.S A PERSONALISED MONITORING SYSTEM

A personalized monitoring system which has a

1. A novel Indoor Positioning Technique to track the humans
in the absence of GPS
2. It was in-turn coupled with with Human Activity
Recognition which was implemented by using Machine
Learning Algorithms to detect the activities such as walking,
running, sitting etc.
3. The body status such as Pulse rate and Temperature
were also monitored

INDUCTION PROCESS

The induction process will happen during the

summer vacations over a span of 60 days.
Therell be one theory task, two hardware
tasks which would finally lead to a main Problem
Statement per each domain of your choice.
The main task will be evaluated during your PIs a
week after you return to college for 3rd Semester.
The two hardware tasks should be submitted
during the vacations itself.

tinge of Tronix in it namely :

SOME POINTS TO BE NOTED

The stage from hardware task 1 to hardware task 2 is non-

eliminative.
You'll be considered for PIs only if both the hardware tasks are
done.
There will be a deadline (soft ones) for each task to be submitted
in order to keep check of constant flow of learning process and to
aid you in time management.
The problem statements are devised in such a way that theyre
related to the various fields with which Electronics could be
implemented.
It would be highly recommended to complete the problem
statements pertaining to a single field completely and attempt the
other field rather than attempting all the fields in a haphazard
manner.
MENTORSHIP

To aid you through the process, each one of

you will be allotted a mentor to ensure a
systematic and a smooth learning process
The mentor would keep in check of your
progress in the problem statements that
youre working upon.
