Training of Trainers (TOT)
Role of IIGJJ in delivering Training of Trainers (TOT) for other
institutes Faculties
As National Centre of Excellence for the entire Gems and Jewellery sector of
the country, IIGJJ is committed in supporting GJSCI in implementing all the
Government of India schemes and mandates to upgrade the overall quality of
the sector with education and Training interventions. Since the sector is largely
unorganized thus there is acute shortage of trained manpower at all levels and
virtually there are miniscule no of qualified trainers available for implementing
the various educations and training programs. All the trainers of IIGJJ underwent
a rigorous test so that they are certified as the Master Trainers for various Job
roles. Now these Master Trainers are further helping GJSCI in training the Trainers
for other institutes so that the increased scale of Training based interventions
can be achieved as mandated by the honorable Prime Minister of India.
So far IIGJJ has conducted Training of Trainers Programs for Hand Sketch
Designer (Basic) and CAD Designer since they are the most demanded job roles
in the sector. Now these certified trainers will further impart various training
schemes across the country where they will act as the Lead Trainer.
