PSLV
(POLAR SATELLITE LAUNCH VEHICLE)
2
World's most reliable launch vehicle which is
in service for over twenty years and has
3 launched various satellites for historic
missions like Chandrayaan-1, Mars Orbiter
Mission, Space Capsule Recovery Experiment,
4 Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System
(IRNSS)
1.Payload etc. - capable of placing multiple payloads into
Fairing
orbit
2.PS4 - fourth and final stage of PSLV and it uses two liquid
engines for propulsion.
5 3.PS3 third stage of PSLV, and it uses a solid rocket for
propulsion after the atmospheric phase of the launch
4.PS2 - second stage of PSLV and is powered by the Vikas
liquid engine
5.PS1 - first stage of PSLV and it provides the launcher the
high thrust that is required for lift off augmented by 6 solid
6 strap-on boosters.
6.Strap-on Boosters- PSLV uses 6 solid rocket strap-on motors
to augment the thrust.
