Why I Chose Him
I chose to do my Culture of Wonder Project on Albert Einstein because I
am part German and Albert Einstein is a German-born physicist. Einstein
interests me because not only did he create a world famous equation
(E=mc2), but he started out in Germany and then moved to America.
Personal Life
Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1874. Also known as Pi day. He
was born in Ulm Germany. Sadly to say though, Einstein died on April 18,
1955 in Princeton New Jersey (America).

Albert Einstein actually had two spouses: Mileva Maric (m. 1903-1919)
and Elsa Einstein (m. 1919-1936). Einstein had 3 children: Eduard
Einstein, Lieserl Einstein, and Hans Albert Einstein.
Education and Jobs
Einstein went to the University of Zurich in 1905 and then he
was at ETH Zurich from 1896 to 1901.
Einstein was affiliated with the Institute of Advanced Study in
Princeton New Jersey until his death in 1955. Before Einstein
moved to the U.S. he was a professor at the Berlin Academy
of Sciences in Germany.

Albert Einstein developed a theory of relativity, one of the 2 pillars of
modern physics.

Einstein died because he refuse surgery and stated I want to go when I


want. It is tasteless to prolong life artificially. I have done my share, it
is time to go. I will do it elegantly.

His work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science.

Einstein became an American citizen in 1940.

On April 17 of 1955 Albert Einstein experiences internal bleeding caused


by the rapture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
