art. In particular, its facets and
trajectory over time in several

discussed. The masterpiece of

also introduced. Through art, the
refinements of civilizations and
its legacies are appreciated

At the end of the course, the students are expected
to:
identify various art forms employed by artists which
serve specific function/s.
trace and compare the evolution of the arts from
different regions of the world.
demonstrate the relevance of arts in day-to-day lives.
point out the influence of artworks created from
ancient times to the late 20th century in shaping the
evolution of Philippine towns, cities, and society.
evaluate the masterpieces created by renowned
artists.
make a report on the possible impacts of art in the
future trajectory of civilizations.
