Definition
Employee is a person who is hired to provide
service to a company on a regular basic in
exchange for compensation and who does
not provide these service as part of an
independent bussiness.

An individual who works part-time or full-time


under of contract of employeement,
whether oral or written, express or implied,
and has recognized rights and duties.
EMPLOYEE RELATION
Employee Relation involves
the body of work concerned
with maintaining employer-
employee relationships that
contribute to satisfactory
productivity, motivation, and
morale. Essentially, Employee
Relation is concerned with a
preventing and resolving
problems involving individual
which arise out of or affect work
situation.
DEALING WITH THE
EMPLOYEE PUBLIC
The employee public is made up of
numerous subgroups; senior managers,
first line supervisor, staff and lines
employees, women an minority workers,
union laborers, per diem employees,
contract workers, ect. Each group has
different interest and concerns. A smart
organization will try to differentiate
messages and communiaction to reach
these segments.

credibility is almost beyond Walter Cronkites.

In presenting a final decision to employees,


management often overlooks the value of explaining
how it reached its decision. By comparing alternative
solutions so that employees can understand more
clearly the rtionale behind management desicions. An
organization may make bad news more palatable.
