and magic Shakespeares play A Midsummer Nights Dream has fairies in it. But theyre not quite like this. Theyre more like this They are darker and more mysterious. They arent always good fairies either. Some of them think of humans as stupid creatures and like to play tricks on them. Several tricks are played on humans by fairies in A Midsummer Nights Dream. What kind of magic do you think fairies would use? Now, in pairs, create a freeze frame scene where a fairy performs magic. Think about the kind of magic a fairy might use. Now, in a larger group of 3-5, you are going to create a role-play in which some of the fairies from A Midsummer Nights Dream discuss how stupid humans can be and how easy it is to trick them. Here are some of the fairies we meet in the play OBERON: he is the King of the fairies. Hes strong, clever and powerful and he also has a short temper. TITANIA: is Oberons queen though at the start of the play they are in the middle of a huge row she is beautiful and clever and she can be kind. When it suits her! PUCK: this mischievous character is Oberons servant. He is responsible for a lot of the tricks played during the play.
