 Days of the Week
Days of the week are written with Upper case
letters (capital letters)
The first day of the week is Sunday.
The last day of the week is Saturday
The weekdays are Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The weekend days are Saturday and Sunday.
With the days of the week you use the
preposition on

 Abbreviations
Notice that "weekdays" and "days of the week" are not the same.
"Days of the week" are all 7 days from Monday to Sunday.
"Weekdays" are only the 5 days from Monday to Friday. The
"weekend" is Saturday and Sunday.

 Months of the Year
There are 12 months in a year.
The months of the year are written with Upper
case letters (capital letters)
All months have 30 or 31 days, except for
February which has 28 days
The year has 365 days except on leap years.
Every fourth year, the month of February has 29
days instead of 28. This year is called a "leap
year" and the 29th of February is a "leap day".
A leap year has 366 days instead of the normal
365
