Strengths of the book:

Authors clear in describing how important emotional

intelligence is as part of leading people.

Most at management level do not understand this

Studies and research performed regarding physiologic

principles-brain activity/limbic system as proof of

usefulness of E.I.
Strongest lesson is that anyone can be a good leader

Must have the desire

Shortcomings of the book:

Emotional Intelligence is very important as part of

being a leader, but:

a leader of today must possess many qualities and traits that

include being a good communicator, visionary, flexible and
influential.

Too in depth, very long book that could have been

made much shorter and more simplistic.

Recommend the book?

For whom and what circumstances:

I would recommend Primal Leadership: Learning to

lead with emotional intelligence to all Leaders,

inside and outside of Healthcare
Emotional Intelligence is a crucial aspect of anyone

wanting to become a successful leader in todays

society.
