NPPA fixes the price of scheduled
medicines' according to a standardized
formula
74 medicines are listed in the Drug Price
Control Order (DPCO) and are called
scheduled medicines.
For all rest of the medicines nonscheduled medicines, there is no
government control for the price;
manufacturer set the price and registers
