His Life

He was born in London,1343.


Meaning of Chaucer is
shoemaker. Chaucer was also
bureaucrat,courtier and
diplomat. The Book of the
Duchess, The House of Fame,
The Legend of Good Women and
Troilus and Criseyde are some of
his works. He is best known
today for The Canterbury Tales.

The Canterbury Tales


It s the most famous work of Geoffrey
Chaucer. It consists 24 stories. It lasted 3
years to write it. Basically, the goal of this
creation was like this; 30 pilgirms were on
their way to London to see the tomb of
Thomas Becket in Canterbury. To spend a
good time on the road, Chaucer goaled to
write 120 stories to tell each other. But he
