Denis Matsuev was born in Irkutsk

in 1975 in a family of musicians
(mother a teacher of piano, father
composer, pianist).

Parents tried to
develop in even
a little Denis the
skills of playing
piano, to teach a
child to music.

In Irkutsk Denis studied at secondary school 11

named after V. V. Mayakovsky and the school of
art. In 1990, Denis and his family moved to
Moscow and he entered the Central music school

In 1991 he became a laureate of the

International charitable public Fund "New
names", and he has visited more than 40
countries.

In 1993, he entered the Moscow state

Conservatory. His teachers were such
outstanding musicians as A. A. Nasedkin
and Dorensky.

In 1995 Denis Matsuev becomes

the soloist of the Moscow state
Philharmonic.
