SELECTION AND USE OF
TEACHING AIDS

Definition
Resources and equipment available
to teachers in the classroom, as well
as anything that can be brought to
the class
Include: board, video recorder,

teacher herself/himself.

learning?

ATTENTION TO TEACHERS
It is a good idea to split the board
into different sections for different
purposes.
Aids that can be prepared (charts,
flashcards, etc.) will help teachers
make sure the lesson procedures
match their aims.

Be sure to check the equipment


before starting the lesson.
Make sure there is backup plan
(i.e. a set of backup equipment) in
case anything goes wrong.
When using equipment for
teaching listening, remember to
plan the instructions carefully.
