INTRODUCTION
WSN is a system comprised of radio frequency (RF)
transceivers, sensors, microcontrollers and power sources.
Recent advances in wireless sensor networking technology
have led to the development of low cost, low power,
multifunctional sensor nodes. Sensor nodes enable
environment sensing together with data processing.
Instrumented with a variety of sensors, such as
temperature, humidity and volatile compound detection,
allow monitoring of different environments. They are able
to network with other sensor systems and exchange data
with external users. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) can
be deployed where the measurement of environment
parameters is dangerous or difficult to access.
LITERATURE SURVEY
Indian agriculture began by 9000 BCE as a result
of early cultivation of plants, and domestication of
crops and animals. Settled life soon followed with
implements and techniques being developed for
agriculture. Double monsoons led to two harvests
being reaped in one year. Indian products soon
reached the world via existing trading networks and
foreign crops were introduced to India. Plants and
animalsconsidered essential to their survival by the
Indianscame to be worshiped and venerated.

Temperature
Different tiny sensors to measure temperature and
humidity inside concrete have been tested. A wireless sensor
network has been created based on the IEEE 802.15.4
facilitating real-time and long-term monitoring. Shielding
avoids the breakdown of the sensors in the high relative
humidity/alkaline environment. There is a perfect match
between the measured values for the humidity and
temperature and the ones obtained by the sensor probe
Soil moisture
Soil water content on the basis of mass is
expressed in the gravimetric soil moisture
content, g , defined by: g = Mwater/M
soil
EXPECTED OUTPUT
Temperature should control according to
crop requirement.
Soil Moisture should control according to
crop requirement.
Humidity should control according to
crop requirement.
The status of the field should access from
remote place.
ADVANTAGES
Installation of WSN is easier than existing wired
solutions.
WSN can be deployed where the measurement of
environment parameters is dangerous or difficult
to access.
They can be deployed in areas where the
parameters of interest need to be measured.
The nodes present in WSN are able to perceive
changes in the environment.
Future Scope
Deploying the system developed with
help of thesis presented above, we
may improve farming practice and
hence enhance the production. With
the automation of the farming
process, completely relying on man
power for farming will not be
necessary.
Applications
WSN will be used in most of the commonly used
applications which include consumer
electronics, PC peripherals, home automation,
home security, personal healthcare, toys and
games, intelligent agriculture.
To demonstrate the capabilities of wireless
sensor networks we present two examples of
applications and associated systems for those
applications.
