SUMMARY
It was believed that there are two Gods Tungkung langit,
the pillar of the sky, and Alunsina, the unmarried one.
Tungkung langit and alunsina have fallen in love with each
other. One day Tungkung langit said to Alunsina that he had to
leave for several days. Alunsina told the breeze to spy
tungkung langit. Tungkung langit found out about it and got
angry. Tungkung langit drove Alunsina. Alunsina disappeared
because of what happened. After several days, Alunsina didnt
came back and Tungkung langit got very lonely. He took
Alunsinas jewels and scattered it on the sky; Alunsinas
necklace became the stars; her comb the moon and her crown
the sun. The people in panay also believe that tungkung langit
lives in the sky and his tears is the rain that falls and every
time he is sobbing calling for alunsina there is thunder.
