EMPLOYMENT STATUS
NATURE OF APPOINTMENT
A. PROMOTION
- Is the advancement of an
employee from one position
to another with an increase
in duties and
responsibilities, and salary
as authorized by law.

office but the employee is
not given any definite
duties and responsibilities;
4.
temporary movement of an
employee from one department
or agency to another which does
not involve a reduction in rank
and salary
for
positions
with
incumbents
who
temporarily
cannot
perform the duties of the
position the designations
should be synchronized
with the absence of the
incumbent provided that
in no case
shall a designation
exceed
for positions without
incumbents, a designation
may only be for a maximum
of one (1) year

order issued by the head of
agency or the head of office
concerned.

granted the salaries of the
positions they are being
designated to, except
allowances that go with
