BUCKINGHAM PALACE
Buckingham Palace has served
as the official London residence of
Britain's sovereigns since 1837
and today is the administrative
headquarters of the Monarch.
Although in use for the many
official events and receptions held
by The Queen, the State Rooms at
Buckingham Palace are open to
visitors every year.

LONDON EYE
London Eye is currently Europes
tallest Ferris wheel, and offered
the highest public viewing point
in London until it was superseded
by 245 metre observation deck
on the 72nd floor of The Shard . It
is the most popular paid tourist
attraction in the United Kingdom
with over 3.5 million visitors
annually.

ESTMINSTER ABBEY
Westminster
Abbey,
formally
titled theCollegiate Church of St
Peter at Westminster, is a large,
mainlyGothicabbey church in
theCity of Westminster, London,
located just to the west of
thePalace of Westminster.

It is one of the most


notable religious buildings
in the United Kingdom and
has been the traditional
place of coronation and

District,

up to explore the

Snowdonia is a region in
north
Wales
and
anational

square miles (2,130km2)
in area. It was the first to
be designated of the
threenational parks in
Wales,
in 1951.

SNOWDONIA'S importance in
the conservation of habitat
and wildlife in the region
reflects in the fact that
nearly 20% of its total area is
protected by UK and
European law. Half of that
area was set aside by the
government under the
European Habitats Directive
as a Special Area of
Conservation.

EDINBURGH CASTLE
Edinburgh

STIRLING CASTLE
Stirling Castle is one of

favoured residence of the
Stewart kings and queens
who

grand
celebrations at the castle.

Scotland's national heritage
was recognised increasingly
from the early 19th century
onwards,
and
various
restoration programmes have
been carried out over the
past century and a half.

NORTHERN IRELAND

GIANTS CAUSEWAY
TheGiant's Causewayis an
area
of
about
40,000
interlockingbasalt
columns, the result of an
ancientvolcaniceruption.
It is located inCounty
Antrimon the northeast
coast ofNorthern Ireland,
about three miles (4.8km)
northeast of the town of
Bushmills.

It was declared aWorld Heritage

anational nature reservein 1987 by
theDepartment of the Environment
for Northern Ireland. In a 2005 poll
ofRadio Timesreaders, the Giant's
Causeway was named as the fourth
greatest natural wonderin theUnited
Kingdom.

TITANIC BELFAST
Although there are 187 Titanic
museums around the world, the
city where the ship was built
only woke up to its tourism
potential in the wake of the
James Cameron film and just in
time for the centenary of the
sinking in April 2012.

Naturally, locals immediately


christened it The Iceberg.
Opened in April 2012, its the
worlds
biggest
Titanic
museum, with 10 galleries
over six floors.
