University Drama Club

University Drama Club as its official name. Hereafter in the proposal it shall be abbreviated as
UDC.

UDC was established in the year 1966. The most happening club of the CEC, the drama
club has won accolades all over the country.

The mission of UDC is to promote knowledge of theater practices through involvement in various
activities, events, and performances. I seek to involve the entire Aligarh Muslim University and its
community in immersion and enjoyment of various forms of theater art, used both as for
entertainment and for education.Activities, events, and performances of the club include, but are
not limited to:

Conducting and hosting theater-related workshops

Attending and discussing theater performances and touring the spaces in which such performances
take place in

Regular meetings to develop skills in all areas of theater, such as acting, directing, playwriting, and
designing lights, sound, set design, costumes, make-up, etc.

Encouraging the drama activities at the university halls

Producing student-directed performances and monologues for the AMU community and the
surrounding area

Workshops? Need!
Students form the largest crowd for any kind of information exchange or beneficiary

in terms of knowledge transfer.

The proposal of participating in workshops can be an extra slice of cheese on their
working capabilities.
Workshops have the potential to categorize same thinking people into a particular
forum. Such platforms do open the door for exercising minds of same thoughts and
behaviours.
Students participating in various workshops can always work on their leadership
qualities thereby giving it the proper boost to grow. Skills like learning,
communicating, listening and experiencing new bonding can be developed through
such platforms which have immense value for students and their upcoming future.
Harnessing such features in any students life is a boon in disguise.
