GROUP WORK ASSIGNMENT CASE STUDY

Group work assignment is where students in a group (maximum of 6) are required to

prepare a paper about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. It includes various aspects of

the entrepreneur, his/her business, the challenges and basic financial data
The assignment paper should be in English with A4 papers, justified and 12 or 14 font size
This assignment carries 20% marks
Submission of this paper is on Monday of Week 8 (after mid-semester holiday)
Group Assignment Question:
You are required to prepare an assessment paper on TWO of the following entrepreneurs:

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and Sir Richard Branson

Tan Sri Ananda Krishnan and Carlos Slim
Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Bukhari and Lakshmi Mittal
Tan Sri Lim Goh Thong and Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow

Your group assignment MUST include the followings:

The profile of each entrepreneur including historical profile

The process of being an entrepreneur
The business activities
The business challenges
How their business involvement has change the industry/industries
Their contribution to their countrys economy or the world economy
Market and competition of their business and the industry/industries they involved
Future direction of their business
Their business competitive advantage - eg. technology, processes, management or
others
Their personality traits and attributes
Basic financial data

You are also required to make a comparison between these two entrepreneurs

INDIVIDUAL WORK ASSIGNMENT CASE STUDY

Individual work assignment is where students are required to prepare an individual paper

about an entrepreneurs business ethics

The assignment paper should be in English with A4 papers, justified and 12 or 14 font size
This assignment carries 20% marks
Submission of this paper is on Monday of Week 8 (after mid-semester holiday)
Individual Assignment Question:

Prepare a paper about an entrepreneur from the list of names in the group work
assignment
Discuss the entrepreneurs business ethics and his/her social responsibility
You are required to give opinions about his/her involvement in upholding the business
ethics within his/her organization and his/her social responsibilities

GROUP WORK ASSIGNMENT BUSINESS PLAN

Group work assignment is where students in a group (maximum of 6) are
required to prepare a business plan (on-line business) for a of 3 years
Your business plan should include:

The business plan will be assess based on the Organization of the Report
executive summary, introduction, conclusion, organization of writing materials,
sentencing, and grammar/spelling, Content of the Report originality and
uniqueness of the business idea, business strategy, environmental analysis,
supporting evidences and financial analysis
Submission of the business plan is on Monday of Week 10
Business Plan carries 10% marks

PRESENTATION 1- BUSINESS PLAN

Presentation 1 will be on Monday of Week 11 and 12
Only one person will represent the group to make the presentation i.e the

group leader or his/her representative

Each presentation should not exceed 10minutes
The presentation should be in English without exception
You are required to make use of presentation software such as PowerPoint,
Prezi and others
A hard copy of the presentation materials should be made available to the
lecturer
Marks will include the use of time during to the presentation, content of the
presentation, organization of the presentation, the mechanics or the ability
to use the presentation software

You are also required to cover the following aspects of the business

planning: Planning of work process how you plan the process of building the
business plan, division of job for each group members and the
development of the business idea
The decision to choose the on-line media and the reason to select the
media
How you plan to build the network and relation with your online
customers
Ease of access between your on-line media for your customers
