PHILOSOPHY OF THE
PROGRAMME:

Tied to ACS Core Values:

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE

HIGHLY ABLE?
Students who demonstrate outstanding levels
of aptitude or confidence in one or more
domains
Students who achieve, or have the ability to
achieve significantly in advance of their ACS

A student may be highly able all areas of the
curriculum, in a limited range, or just in one
area.

HOW ARE STUDENTS

IDENTIFIED?
Best practices indicate that multiple measures and valid
indicators from multiple sources must be used to assess
and serve highly able students (www.nagc.org).
