Acute Glomerulonephritis (AGN)

Main Problem
Damage to the glomerular membrane
resulting to tissue damage
result of antibody-antigen reaction that
localize in the kidneys because of their
filtering functions.
Clinical Manifestation
Periorbital edema, hematuria, mild
proteinuria, hypertension

Interventions:
Bedrest during the acute phase.
Monitor intake and output closely;
weight the patient daily.
Maintain a low Na, low K, High Fe diet
Administer antihypertensives, diuretics
and antibiotics as ordered
Usually children recover completely.
