This is added to a site and used as part of an assignment.

A teacher places instructions for the student in widget and

then the student types and saves their trtrtrext answers
underneath the instructions and submits it to the teacher.
This widget allows the user to link to a file, such as an
Excel or Word document. This file can either be uploaded
to the site, already be on the VLE or if it is an image or
video file it can be taken from the Frog Store.

This widget shows the RSS feed that comes from the MoE.
This is refreshed every 10 minutes with any new
information. There are 3 sections KPM, JPN & PPD.
There are no settings for this widget.

This widget allows you to place an RSS feed into your site.
This will play RSS2 and 4.1 formats of RSS feeds.

This widget displays the time. The time displayed is the

same time as the PC. There are no settings for this
widget.
This widget allows you to embed a website into your site,
so that another website is displayed in your page. Some
sites, for example Google, will not appear in this widget as
they do not like to be placed in a frame on another site.
This allows you to type an inspirational quote or phrase
and place it on your site. The text can be formatted by
changing the colour, font size and styling.

This widget allows you to place notices on your site. You

can create notices to tell other people about events and
things that are happening. The notices are read only, but
you can delete your own notices.

The media widget allows you to place images, videos and

audio files in your sites. The files can be uploaded,
already be on the VLE or searched for from the Frog Store.
For videos the widget will play MP4, for audio it is MP3
and images should jpg, png or gif file formats.
The wall widget allows you to have discussions with other
users. If you wish other users to contribute to the wall on
your site when you share it you must give users
contribute rights.
This widget displays information about the logged in user.
It gives the users name, class, school and email address.
There are no settings for this widget.

This allows a file, such as a Word document, to be

uploaded to the site.
This widget is also used in
assignments, so that students can submit their work. It
can be set so the user only sees their work or a whole
group. It can also be set to allow users to delete their own

This allows you to have a link on your site to any other

site within the VLE that you have permission to see.

This widget will allow you to add text to your site. The
text can be formatted by changing the colour, font size
and styling. You can also use paste from Word function.

When using this widget you can link to any other app
within the VLE that you have permission to use.

Using this widget allows you to link to an external website,

outside the VLE. When the URL for the website has been
set the site will then open in a new window or tab
depending on the browser settings.

The school notices widget is used by admin users to

update the notices for the school with events and things
that are happening. This will normally appear on the
school dashboard and the text can be formatted by colour,
font size and styling.
The SCORM widget allows SCORM files to be played on a
site. You can search for the SCORM you want and this will
then play within the widget.

The forum widget allows you to have discussions on your

site with all users being able to contribute on posts that
have been made. If the site is shared then the contribute
option must be selected when sharing.
This is The Pond RSS feed and places the RSS feed on to
your site. This widget has no settings.
SMJK YU HUA

This widget is like a post it note for your dashboard. You

can type your reminders and notes into this widget and
they will be displayed. The text can be formatted by
colour, font size and styling.
The notification widget shows you all your notifications on
your dashboard.
It displays notifications from the
calendar and assignments applications.

The calendar widget displays the entries from the selected

calendar. It will display up to a maximum of the next 15
entries in the calendar you have chosen to display.
