reference services, tutorials
To act as a gateway to local and external
information resources on the Web library

To serve as a communication tool - through email, instant messaging, and other similar

Determine your audience


Who is your target audience? Students?
Faculty? Or staff?
What are their interests and needs?
Are they proficient in using technology
available in the library?
Do you have the equipment and materials
necessary to meet their needs?
What will they get from your site? Learn
anything or accomplish a task?

Is it educational information or
entertainment?
Does the content meet the information
needs of your audience?
Is it relevant ? interesting?

Is the allocated budget enough for the
creation and publishing of the web site?

the user or makes text unreadable
