History of Bangor University

Bangor university was started on 18th Oct 1884 in North


Wales .An important features of its foundation was the
Voluntary contributions made by local people, including
farmers and quarrymen from the weekly wages over a period
of time its was started with 58 students and 10 members of
staff
Till 1893 their received degree from London university
Today we have over 12,000 students and 2000 members of
staff. Bangor university is committed to providing teaching of
the highest quality .Bangor university is playing a full role in
the wider community of Wales including research in highest
quality.

UG Entry requirement
For entry onto undergraduate / bachelor degree programmes,
students with a school leaving qualification equivalent to the
British school leaving qualification will be considered for
direct entry into the 1st year of a 3 or 4 year programme.
Students from countries whose school leaving qualification is
not at a level equivalent to the British school-leaving
qualification are required to undertake an additional
foundation year

Entry Requirement for PG


Entry onto Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma and
Masters' courses requires a bachelor degree of
equivalent standard to the British bachelor degree
in a relevant subject with a grade equivalent to at
least a British second class honors.
Candidates who are 25 years or older who do not
have a bachelor degree, but who have 3 years or
more of relevant work experience can be considered
for entry onto Masters' programmes.

Undergraduate Scholarships
International Entrance Scholarship
Bangor University is offering a 10% reduction off the first
years tuition fees to all International students who apply
before the 31st of July, 2011. The International Entrance
Scholarship will replace the International Scholarship that
was previously
School of Music---the Parry Williams Scholarships are
awarded to the three students with the best entry
qualifications for any particular year.
They are each worth 1000
Bangor Business School ---Two scholarships valued at 5,000
each is awarded to outstanding International candidates.
