The use of social networking sites like Facebook,

Tweeter Instagram etc. is expanding widely in

our country. While some appreciate these sites
for enhancing communication among people,
others suggest for banning them, citing their
adverse effects. What is your view on this
matter? Support your argument with logical
claims wherever possible with examples from
your own experience and observation.

It is quite absurd, in the present scenario, to dispute the revolutionizing
influence the social networking sites have in human capacity to share ideas,
information, emotions and feelings. While saying so, it would also be foolish to
ignore their adverse consequences on social harmony and human well being. I
therefore, strongly believe that we must benefit ourselves from these boons of
technological advancements but be cautious enough not to be overwhelmed by
them so that we could protect ourselves against the evils aspect of the sites.
Anybody can hardly dispute against the way social networking sites have
enhanced our mode of communication. Our urgent messages that used to take
days if not months to reach the destination in the past, nowadays reach the
intended party/parties in no time . We must not also forget that they have
enabled us to reconnect with long lost acquaintances of yesteryears. If others
feel the same way I cant say for sure but I must confess that I am reunited with
scores of my friends of school days.
Off course, these networks sites are not devoid of adversity in that they have
contributed in rise of cyber crime. Acts like defaming people, online threats,
hacking others account for evil purpose etc. are some of their undesirable
effects. The addiction of people to the use of these sites must not be overlooked
too.
In conclusion, I would like to assert vehemently that the social networking
sites are the unprecedented gifts of advanced technology. But, we must use
them with caution so as not to regret later in life.

Test 1 Section 6

In the contemporary world of globalization, we can see the

increasing fascination of students towards foreign universities. While this
trend of abroad study benefits students in number of ways, it also has
some adverse consequences.
Among many other advantages, the prospect of acquiring foreign
degree from a reputed university, which is valued not only in the country
of origin but worldwide, is one of the significant aspects of abroad study.
Furthermore, studying in multicultural environment in foreign
universities helps expand ones social horizon which is highly
constructive in his/her career development. The huge variety and
amount of scholarships offered by the universities, of course, is
beneficial for deserving students with poor financial condition who
would, otherwise, have been unable to pursue their higher education.
However, this growing enchantment of studying abroad is not devoid
of drawbacks. To mention a few, it may be quite frustrating for a country
to see its invaluable human resources leaving the country with a meager
chance of returning back with their degree. Similarly, it may also develop
in students a sense of alienation from family and homeland which often
causes in them some psychological problems. My cousins attempt to
suicide in the United Kingdom ( not UK) two years back is still fresh in my
mind to remind me of difficulties students encounter in foreign land in
adjusting themselves in the novel environment.
Given the complexity of the case, one must weigh both aspects of
