IT PROFESSIONAL
According to CIPS, an IT professional is someone portrays
demonstrated competency, commitment of long learning, high
level of responsibility, great code of ethics and full membership in
the IT field. (CIPS, 2016)

IT STRATEGY
Set of prominent decisions made by the IT and senior functional
management that substantially enable, enhance and drive the
enterprise business strategy.
These decisions lead the deployment of technology infrastructure
and advanced human capabilities that will aid the organizational
competitive edge. (Luftman, 2004).

IT POLICY
Critical governance tool employed by all enterprise to dictate rules
and procedures that were typically applied in reality. These rules
establish expectations for organizational behaviors and activities,
then renders a mechanism to enforce the expectations. (Infotech)

IT GOVERNANCE
The process of understanding the issues and strategic importance
of IT such that organizations can continue their operations and
develop strategies needed to extend activities into the distant
future. The processes extend into ensuring the efficient and proper
use of IT resources to achieve organizational goals. (Gartner, 2012)

GENERAL PERSPECTIVE
As an IT Professional,
Understand how the IT tools work
Know how tools, techniques and best practices can lead to the success of your IT
organization.
IT managers can use the toolkit to
Improve their career
Create opportunity for their organization
Gain competitive advantage over others.

SUMMARY
The completion of this IT Professional toolkit will help me continue to improve IT
and business processes of the organizations I hope to manage in the future. My
goal is to continue to find ways to utilize these tools to their maximum capacity. It
is my belief that these tools can be of great value for others in the IT
management field. So far, I have been able to put these tools into appropriate
use at my place of work and I would like to recommend my viewers to do the
same. My ultimate goal for this project is to continue to work on the toolkit and I
intend to do so until I see to its perfection.
