Every node in the cluster knows and has
access to the information on all other nodes
(LUNs, exports, shares, volumes, and more)
Maintaining this information utilizes resources
Maximum number of nodes within a cluster is
determined by platform which supports the fewest
number of nodes

Operating within these parameters makes

sure that clusters are future-proofed
No trade-offs between features based on platform
