Eccl.3
There is a season (a time appointed) for
everything and a time for every delight
and event or purpose under heaven
(Vs.1)
That which is has already been, and that
which will be has already been, for God
seeks what has passed by [so that
history repeats itself]. (Vs.15)

 God, from creation, has set the world in cycles.

Let there be lightsto divide the day from
the night; and let them be for signs and
seasons, and for days and years Gen.1:14

Psalm 78

Listen, dear friends, to Gods truth,

bend your ears to what I tell you.
Im chewing on the morsel of a proverb;
Ill let you in on the sweet old truths,
Stories we heard from our fathers,
counsel we learned at our mothers knee.
Were not keeping this to ourselves,
were passing it along to the next generation
Gods fame and fortune,
the marvelous things he has done.

He planted a witness in Jacob,

set his Word firmly in Israel,
Then commanded our parents
to teach it to their children
So the next generation would know,
and all the generations to come
Know the truth and tell the stories
so their children can trust in God,

 God is a MULTI-generational, covenant keeping

God:
Therefore know that the Lord your God, He
is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant
and mercy for a thousand generations with
those who love Him and keep His
commandments; and He repays those who
hate Him to their face, Deut.7:9-10a

 How did we get here?

Abraham Lincoln said, If we could first know
where we were and whither we were tending,
we could better judge what to do and how to
do it
Are you ignoring the obvious? Titanic mistake!

Matt.16
Jesus said: Then the Pharisees and
Sadducees came, and testing Him asked
that He would show them a sign from
heaven. He answered and said to them,
When it is evening you say, It will be
fair weather, for the sky is red; and in
the morning, It will be foul weather
today, for the sky is red and threatening.

 When you ask for a sign AFTER the Lord has

already revealed Himself, you are testing Him.
This is what Israel did in Psalm 78 which is
different than what Abraham did In Gen. 15:6
Abraham was looking for a reason to believe.
The Scribes and Pharisees were looking for
grounds to dis-believe.

 Hypocrites! You know how to

discern the face of the sky, but
you cannot discern the signs of
the times. 4 A wicked and
adulterous generation seeks
after a sign, and no sign shall be
given to it except the sign of the
prophet Jonah.

 There is a very real and powerful

move ongoing today to remove God
from all social, educational, and
political spheres.
It began in a systematic, planned
strategy in 1933 in a document
known as the Humanist Manifesto.

 The time has come for widespread recognition of

the radical changes in religious beliefs throughout
the modern world. The time is past for mere
revision of traditional attitudes. Science and
economic change have disrupted the old beliefs.
Religions the world over are under the necessity
of coming to terms with new conditions created
by a vastly increased knowledge and experience.

 In order that religious humanism

may be better understood we, the
undersigned, desire to make certain
affirmations which we believe the
facts of our contemporary life
demonstrate.

 Today man's larger understanding of the universe,

his scientific achievements, and deeper
appreciation of brotherhood, have created a
situation which requires a new statement of the
means and purposes of religion. Such a vital,
fearless, and frank religion capable of furnishing
adequate social goals and personal satisfactions
may appear to many people as a complete break
with the past.

 FIRST: Religious humanists regard the universe

as self-existing and not created.
SECOND: Humanism believes that man is a part
of nature and that he has emerged as a result
of a continuous process.
THIRD: Holding an organic view of life,
humanists find that the traditional dualism of
mind and body must be rejected.

 3 things we understand from this doctrine

1. Humanism is a religion
2. The foundation of Humanism is evolution
3. Humanists reject God, the Bible, and Biblical
morality
This was introduced in 1933, and then permeated
our educational system and in time became the
pervasive belief system of our society.

 By the 1960s our universities and campuses were

the seedbed of a godless philosophical system that
led to a new morality, a new society, and a
new lawlessness.
The sixties were a very turbulent time. Race riots,
war protests, widespread drug use, political distrust
and upheaval.
Sound familiar? We are about to relive something
new that is really quite old.

The REAL Problem

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt
loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is
then good for nothing but to be thrown out and
trampled underfoot by men. Mt.5:13
Ineffective Christians are the problem
When as believers we turn away from Gods
truth we become ineffective and are good for
nothingand are trampled underfoot of men

 You are the light of the world. A city that is

set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they
light a lamp and put it under a basket, but
on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who
are in the house. Let your light so shine
before men, that they may see your good
works and glorify your Father in heaven.
