The management has understood the


importance of systematic appraisal system &
they are taking every effort to implement it
properly.
The employees in an organization consider the
performance appraisal as a Discipline to
work.

in favor of the appraisal activities to be
performed in the organization.
The employees in the organization are very
much satisfied with the appraisal done by
their supervisors.

Most of the employees slowly understand


the importance of performance appraisal.
The
performance
appraisal
training
programme is appreciated by the
employees & they are really benefited by
it.
The result of performance appraisal
should not be like any punishment or
penalty for the
appraise, in case of
negative performance employees are
judged and counseled properly.

SUGGESTION TO INDUSTRY

As the Company is using ranking Method only to


judge the performance of the individuals, so it
should opt other methods also as self appraisal,
checklist method, 360 feedback method etc.
There should be a proper Performance
Appraisal Training Program in the organization
to make the employee aware at each and every
level.
Company can also provide some special rewards
to the best performers as Best performer of
the Year or some special prizes at
departmental level.

CONT.

As the appraisal conducted there is annually,


so I suggest that it should be Quarterly or half
yearly is some special departments where
there is a need of continuous good
performance.
Informal methods of appraising performance
should also be used by the superiors to boost
the morale and efficiency of employees by
meeting them personally or giving them some
rewards rather than increments.
There should be proper counseling and
discussion after getting the results of appraisal;
it should not be kept to papers only.

LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

Information may not be accurate as


accuracy of information depends on the
information given by the employees.
As ISGEC is basically a mechanical
company so the concentration is mainly
on the production rather than HR
activities like performance appraisal,
they exist but not at a huge level.

The management has already taken efforts


to educate the employees
