Brainstorm concept with partner.
Draw 6 boxes in sketchbook.
Use simple pictures or words, or a
combination of both to show the overall
concept of the animation.
Keep it very simple easy shapes to
manipulate no figures with

arms and legs this time.

Take photos with phones and
remote.
Small movements - Be

Tips and tricks


If plasticine/clay is too hard then warm on a radiator for
5 mins.
Put magnets in characters feet and use a metal (cookie
sheet) base for a floor.
The first time you do an animation with your students,
let them have fun with it. Dont set to many
expectations. Just let them use their imaginations.
