About the speaker


James Onyutta has 15 years' multinational experience in
micro-finance. He joined Musoni Kenya Limited in October
2013 as the Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to his current role James was a finance proffessional in
FINCA for over 10 years with experience in Malawi, Tanzania
and Uganda. James was also a key part of a management
team that led the FINCA Tanzania team towards its
transformation into a deposit taking institution and the
launching of FINCA Africa region's first mobile money channel
of payments in Tanzania. James is a Chartered Accountant
and holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and
management from Uganda Martyrs University.
James is a sports enthusiast and follows FC Bayern Munchen
very closely. He also is a former Amateur Volleyball player and
supports initiatives to improve the sport in Uganda.
