Device View Features


Allows viewing of selected groups in a device format, such
that more data can be displayed in a single view.
Allows re-ordering of columns.
Provides the ability to configure which columns are shown.
Free Text Search field allows searches to be conducted
using any parameter of the device.
Double-clicking on a device launches the web interface of
that device.
Provides the ability to view current sensor details or launch
browser.

Map View Features

Allows insertion of custom background images for physical
layout. (right click on map)

Search capabilities provide quick navigation to specific

Sensor display included on the appliance image to
accommodate internal and external sensors.
Simply hovering over a device shows details of that device.

Methods of Device Discovery


There are two methods of device discovery:
1. Manual discovery
2. Automatic private LAN discovery
. Note: Any devices plugged into the private LAN that make a
DCHP request will automatically be discovered.

1. From the StruxureWare DCE console, select
Device Add Devices, or click the large green + symbol.

2. Choose the Discovery Discovery Type and then click Next.
For APC and non-APC devices, choose either SNMPv1 or SNMPv3.
For NetBotz appliances, choose the NetBotz Appliance option.

to acquire this setting. You can use Search feature.

Type in the delay value (in seconds)
for Return to Normal.
Type in a Custom Description
or a Custom URL for the setting.

existing in your system.
Permits the graphing of multiple devices and data points
on the same graph.

From is the hostname or IP address of the StruxureWare Central
appliance from which the emails originate.
SMTP Server is the hostname or IP address of the SMTP server used by
the StruxureWare Central appliance.
Port is the port number at this SMTP server.
SSL is selected when using the SSL protocol for communication between
StruxureWare Central and the SMTP server.
Requires Logon should only be selected when using an SMTP server that
requires logon access. Checking this box will activate the Username and
Password fields.
