INCREASED RIGIDITY SOLUTIONS FOR C-FRAME

MECHANICAL PRESSES

Author

Romeo CIOAR , Ioan DAN .

Publication

Proceedings in Manufacturing Systems, Volume 6, Issue 2,

2011

Conclusion

Shaped dozens of frame models - with vertical, horizontal,

tilted, crossing and curved ribs. Models with changed values of
the sidewalls thickness were developed.
It is clear that the orientation of the ribs at an angle of 10,
whether to the left or right, leads to the best results in terms of
frame rigidity.

Title Of Paper

An Optimum Design Model for Down Acting Press Brakes

of High Precision and Medium Span

Author

Wenlung Li

Publication

SME technical paper, MF03-150, 2003, MF03-150

Conclusion

Robustness of the individual compensation parameters of the

model is also presented.
The result of computation implies that the robust and optimal
parameter set happens to be three-equal-force compensation.

Conclusion

Important design considerations and theory for Hydraulic

Press Brake used are presented.

Investigation on Slider Structure Deformation and

Crowning System of Large-Scale Press Brake

Author

Publication

Advanced Materials Research Vols 201-203 (2011)

pp, 500-1503

Conclusion

Numerical results are in good agreement with

the experimentation.
Based on the simulation results we design a large-scale
mechanical crowning system through which the press brake
could be automatically compensated in the bend direction by
means of a CNC powered motor and could also be
compensated for local parts by adjusting the side screw nuts
manually

International Journal Of Engineering Innovation And Scientific

Research.Vol.1 (1) , P.P - 6-13 , ISSN: 2395-6372

Conclusion

To select the best suitable frame within four sections- C

section, I section, box section and H section which is more
rigid and has maximum rigidity.
It optimizes the frame thickness which there by reduces the
material required to manufacture it
given the stress of the frame remaining under permissible limit.
By topology optimization weight and cost can be
reduce.

Sheet metal productivity improvement through a new

press brake design

Author

Publication

African Journal of Science, Technology, Innovation and

Development , [2014] Vol. 6, No. 2, 135144,

Conclusion

Conventional press brakes are dedicated machines with fixed

capacity, but the RBPM has characteristics of a reconfigurable
machine tool.
Geometric transformation allows sheet metal benders
to adjust the press brakes height and length, thus improving
the capability of the RBPM.
