THIS WILL SATISFY

YOU FOR ALL
ETERNITY.

Your choice?

Imagine yourself lost in the desert

--- without food or water. How
long do you think can you
survive?

Just like our body, our

spirit also needs food

The Most important food that our spirit needs

is found in the Eucharist.
And yet many of us skip the Eucharist, thus
starving
ourselves
of
this
essential
sustenance.
No wonder many of us go through life as if
were lost in the desert.

The Catholic Church

calls the Eucharist
the source and
summit of the
Christian life.

The other sacraments in

fact, all ministries and
works in the Church are
bound up with the Eucharist
and are oriented toward it.

For in the Blessed

Eucharist is
contained the whole
spiritual good of the
Church, namely
Christ himself

What is the meaning of the

word Eucharist?

Eucharist means
to give thanks

Jesus Christ Himself

instituted the Eucharist, in
the upper room of the
Jerusalem house where He
and His Apostles had their
last supper together.
In the gospels, and Pauls
First
letter
to
the
Corinthians:

Take, eat, this is my

body Take, drink this
is my blood
Do this in
remembrance of me.

The celebration of the

Eucharist is not just
words
and
rituals
repeated
again
and
again, to the point of
boring for those who do
not understand it.
Christ is present in the
Eucharist.
He is present in the
priest who represents
Him, and who leads in
thanking God for His
graces especially the
gift of His Son.

It is said that
when we sing the
Sanctus (Holy,
Holy , Lord God
of Hosts, we sing
the same song
that angels sing
in the presence of
God.
Therefore, even if
were on Earth, we
join the angels in their
adoration of God.

He is present in the
Gospel,
Which chronicles the life
and ministry of Our
Lord.

He is present in us,
who make up the
Church the body of
which Jesus is the
head.

When the priest

consecrates the
bread and wine, by
the power of God
they become the
Body and Blood of
Christ.
This is called
transubstantiation.

How do we Honor the

Eucharist?
Our saints
martyred
shows us
how to honor
the Eucharisteven if it
costs us our
life.

There are those who

question why they should
bother with the Eucharist,
when they could enjoy
wordly activities more.
Such as malling, partying,
internet, etc.

Those things will

pass away. The
Eucharist is
something we
can enjoy not
only here and
now, but most
importantly, in
the afterlife.
We should think
in terms of
eternity!

How do I make the

Eucharist a part of
my life?
Going to Mass
regularly is a start!
And then, because when

we take Holy Communion

we take Jesus inside of
us, we should live not
only for ourselves, but for
Jesus in us. We should
also love and respect
others more, because they
, too, have Jesus in them.
